Add Brocade for Your Thangka
Note: The "Thangka Size" refers to the longer length measurement of your thangka.
Every thangka deserves a proper frame, and in the Tibetan tradition, this frame is often known as brocade. We offer two premium options to beautifully protect and present your thangka.
1. Premium Silk Brocade Our silk brocade is the classic, traditional choice. Made from richly colored silk, it features intricate patterns and a luxurious sheen that perfectly complements the vibrant detail of your thangka painting. This style brocade is a stunning, elegant option that has been used for centuries to frame sacred art.
2. Premium Khadi Brocade For a more natural and understated aesthetic, our khadi brocade is an exceptional alternative. Khadi is a hand-spun, hand-woven cotton fabric with a unique, earthy texture. This premium brocade is durable, beautifully rustic, and offers a subtle, soft look that highlights the painting without distraction.
Whether you prefer the timeless elegance of silk or the grounded beauty of khadi, both of our brocade options are designed to honor and preserve your sacred thangka.
Western style frames are also an option for you but due to the irregular size of thangka canvases, many people find it far easier to add brocade rather than finding a custom sized frame.
During checkout, please make sure you have both the thangka and the brocade added to your cart.
Please allow an extra 3-5 days for the brocade to be sewn onto the painting
