Tiger Eye Mala

This mala is traditionally strung with 108 polished tiger eye beads, each one showcasing the stone's distinct chatoyancy and golden-brown bands. Chatoyancy is a band of reflected light that moves across a gemstone's surface as the stone is turned. The light appears as a thin, silvery slit, much like the pupil of a cat's eye in the dark, which is where the term gets its name (chat is French for cat!)The unique play of light within each bead gives this mala a powerful, grounding presence.
